Roshni Shikari represents employees and civil rights plaintiffs in a wide range of matters, including discrimination, whistleblower protection, retaliation, harassment, wage disputes, and breach of contract claims. She is particularly dedicated to representing survivors of sexual harassment and sexual assault in both employment discrimination and housing discrimination matters, combining a trauma-informed approach with fierce advocacy.

Before founding The Shikari Law Firm, Roshni served as a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division. Her career also includes years of experience litigating employment and civil rights matters in private practice, serving as a staff attorney with the ACLU of Illinois, and completing a federal clerkship in the Northern District of Illinois.

Roshni has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in employment litigation from 2019 to 2023 and named to The Best Lawyers in America® for civil rights and employment law in 2022 and 2023.

She graduated cum laude from Middlebury College and magna cum laude from Washington University School of Law, where she served as Senior Editor of the Washington University Law Review.
